Which is why I ended up with owensmith.net in the first place. I thought this might get me a .uk domain, but actually it does nothing to expand the namespace. Surely ISPs are companies. By following Nominet's rules and registering a domain with the correct SLD, they appear to be being discriminated against by Nominet since they don't have any right to their own SLD under the .uk TLD.
