Of course, a large number of email clients don't support receipt notifications at all, and those that do usually default to not sending them and very few users turn them on.

As it happens I have receipts turned on with request in my email client on my PC, so I get asked if I want to send the read receipt. I always send it, I just like to know it's been requested. A&A are the only originators that request it.

I have no idea what my iPad does, it doesn't ask me if I want to send a receipt. It's possible A&A are getting two receipts for emails to me, once from the iPad over IMAP4 and again when my PC retrieves it for archiving over POP3.Owen Smithhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00890951742186614705noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-37917366029074813152014-08-02T12:18:05.923+01:002014-08-02T12:18:05.923+01:00We did get a prompt response, yes, though it did n...We did get a prompt response, yes, though it did not really address questions that need answering.RevKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369263214193333422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-20057685524797789932014-08-02T11:38:06.824+01:002014-08-02T11:38:06.824+01:00It's nice (and IME quite unusual) to get that ...It's nice (and IME quite unusual) to get that notification - and I'm impressed by the account manager's 30 minute promise (particularly if they actually deliver on it!)jas88https://www.blogger.com/profile/05563592458314214904noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-87017155250262674732014-08-02T08:40:01.375+01:002014-08-02T08:40:01.375+01:00The cat sat on the delete key, honest. ;)The cat sat on the delete key, honest. ;)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-38425565511162497462014-08-01T15:29:56.980+01:002014-08-01T15:29:56.980+01:00As the late Bob Hoskins used to voice "it'...As the late Bob Hoskins used to voice "it's good to talk" - now who did he do that for? :)

http://youtu.be/gNHRONqCAB8The Driverhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04561063207545406257noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-61205500296153616512014-08-01T15:10:46.237+01:002014-08-01T15:10:46.237+01:00To the specific person. To the specific person.RevKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369263214193333422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-22046889823636186262014-08-01T15:08:29.019+01:002014-08-01T15:08:29.019+01:00That is awesome.
