However there is a mountain of evidence about authoritarianism. Authoritarianism is a mental problem! A belief in tradition and authority is associated with lowered levels of one of the main personality traits called openness or even in some papers intellect. Then there are the direct studies of authoritarianism. This very excellent book by an academic who is giving it away for free as a public service covers the research. If you haven't got a lot of time look at chapter three to start. http://home.cc.umanitoba.ca/~altemey/

It explains the screwed up thinking that this blog is often moaning about. Providing children with an authoritarian upbringing , as the book explains, damages their cognitive abilities. So yes we should think of the children.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04629158343115646134noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-52167446413044403602017-03-22T11:41:56.407+00:002017-03-22T11:41:56.407+00:00James has got the right idea, browse with your eye...James has got the right idea, browse with your eyes shut for extra safety.SimonFhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03711861360301638111noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-25398262438796786222017-03-21T15:00:02.355+00:002017-03-21T15:00:02.355+00:00And it needs to be accessible recourse - if you ne...And it needs to be accessible recourse - if you need to put up an £10,000,000 bond to get your site instantly unblocked, or wait 30 days, it's not accessible to the average site owner.Simon Farnsworthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15190608047563530091noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-29854335108825972532017-03-21T13:03:00.040+00:002017-03-21T13:03:00.040+00:00There also needs to be accountability and recourse...There also needs to be accountability and recourse for wrong blocking.RevKhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12369263214193333422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3993498847203183398.post-88866602752942598412017-03-21T13:01:04.990+00:002017-03-21T13:01:04.990+00:00I do like the "Those responsible for providin...I do like the "Those responsible for providing filtering and blocking services need to be transparent about which sites they block and why" section though - but I can't see that getting into the final draft...Richy Bhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11328244621821820978noreply@blogger.com
