This is not the number you were looking for."<br /><br />Sticking to voice, if you want to sound official and pompous, answer the call with "Cabinet Office SPF. Which List X site are you calling about?" When they get confused, demand the reference number for their BPSS vetting.<br /><br />If they're clued, they'll recognise that you're bullshitting. If they're not, and they Google search the terms, they will find a whole pile of stuff talking about national security clearances.
