Hold on

OK, now things have settled down a lot, I had the chance to do hold music. Took me around 2 hours coding this morning, but by 9am we had hold streamed from a file to multiple endpoints... Woohoo...

Took a further hour to find suitable free hold music, convert the raw alaw file to look like a WAV file (simple header), test it all, and pick which music... :-)

Now the core is stable, some ancillary projects for me to consider...
  • Voicemail application
  • General IVR (interactive voice response) application
  • Land-line text application (acting as land-line text server)
  • Fax2email application
However, I have lots of other important work, and asterisk can do most of these fine for now.
