Nice one blogger

Finally, custom domain blogs like this can be https, and so this is.

Sadly they still do not allow hosting at top level, so I cannot make www.me.uk work directly yet. I even registered d5t275oodjjs.me.uk to try and keep it happy. Oh well, maybe one day.

But at least this is working, and as expected uses Let's Encrypt. Nice one.

  1. In this day and age, every website should be https really.

Out of interest though, could somebody see what you’re reading anyway if they have the URL (does https show the man in the middle the URL you ar visiting)? In which case https is only useful for data sharing?

  2. Ah, I wondered why I wasn't seeing any blog posts via RSS any more! Shame the new URL https://www.revk.uk/feeds/posts/default doesn't appear to work with my reader :(
